This sounds like an incredibly dangerous practise to me. If the PCD is not *exactly* correct then the studs (or nuts) will not seat correctly. Most alloys have a 60 degree taper fitting. If the PCD is 2mm larger, the nuts will not be sitting squarely in the taper and there will be a greatly reduced surface area in contact.

Don't do it!!!!!
