Volks I'm trying to find out the range of behaviors for the late Westy
water-level circuits.  Anyone wants to help, I'd like to know three sets of
things:

1) what are the resistance readings on your float sender when unplugged
(middle and bottom -- top should be very low resistance).

2) what is the behavior of your lights.

3) if you're willing and able -- substitute a one megohm pot (RS 271-211 or
similar) for the sender, wiring to middle and one end terminal.  Measure
the resistance at each transition point where a light turns on or off
(unfortunately you have to unhook the pot to measure the resistance, b/c
the ohmmeter and the LED panel will fight with each other).

Oh yeah 4) the year of your beast.

I'm hoping to find a pattern of component drift that will explain the
rumored "early and often" failures of this system.  It's really a very
simple system and ought to work indefinitely.
