Subject: Seat Belt hardly retracts
Content-Type: text/plain

I have a problem with the driver's seat belt not retracting after releasing the seat belt to get out of my vanagon. I took the cover off and cleaned all the dust and dirt out, but no difference in the ability of the spring to pull the belt back in. I have to hand feed the belt in every time I get out, otherwise it tends to hang out the door.

Has anyone fixed this problem with their vanagon? My search of the archives yielded no answers. I am hoping there is a way to take apart the seatbelt to rewind or replace the spring. TIA
