Subject: Australian Transporter TDI!

I have been in touch with Australia about the possible purchase of a Transporter later this year. They (VW Dealer and Trakka Camper conversions) say that they have a TDI version of the Transporter becoming available in July. It will be available in all combinations of LWB, SWB, 2WD and Syncro. The Syncro has a 4 to 5 month order time. Also available in all configurations is the Trakka camper. The dealer said that he already had an order list.

I am getting prices.

Can anyone tell me where I could find specs on the TDI that would power this van? It is a 2.5 liter I think.

Any Australians who have heard about this release? Thanks. Don 90 Syncro Westy "Leana Hula"
