It's R134a., not R124a. R406 is a blended refrigerant, which has one very significant implication:

If a leak develops, you must recover all of the refrigerant, and recharge from scratch, since some of the components of the mix (being larger or smaller) leak slower or faster than others.

Also, your average mechanic isn't going to carry this stuff, or the tools and supplies needed to service a system converted to this or any other alternative refrigerant.
