When you take the gas cap to fill up, does air go rushing into the tank? I had a rabbit that did that and at the end of the tank there was such a vacuum, that the fuel pump was not able to pull enough fuel from the tank. There should be a small vent on the cap which will allow air to replace the used fuel in the tank. Charlie johnson 84 Westy

Now that is WIERD !! I had exactly the same experience today. a couple of days ago I had what i thought might be a fuel pump problem .. then it started missing today. I filled it up with petrol ... ran sweet as a nut ...
