well folks, to those who don't know, my 84 vanagon has been enduring a lengthy and financially consuming engine swap. hopefully it is all over now, my mom picked the van up from the shop this morning. it's got a new exhaust system in place of the other one which had developed header cracking, but the new system is 100% quieter, and since the exhaust is out from the engine bay, the skid plate looks awesome, and it doesn't hang 5 " from the road anymore. its a good 7" from the road now, but the wiring is all redone, and the van now purrs at idle... oh yeah, bout the exhaust, it now comes out the drivers side just in front of the rear tire :) it sounds better than my friends tricked out vr6 jetta (the exhaust that is). so i'm psyched and everyone else should be too.

the only thing that bugs me tho, is that my 16 year old sister got to drive the van before i did....lol

anyways, to anyone who's thinking about doing an engine swap, it is possible, you just have to work really hard to earn enough money to make it happen :)
