Just a couple of weeks ago I bought an Autobahn oil filter for a waterboxer from a local VW Dealer in So. Cal. It said MADE IN USA on it. I visually compared it to a Fram for the same application, as those are only $2 at Wallys and why pay triple if it is the same thing. It was not the same. The guts looked completely different. I have not had the lifter noise since.
