Volks:

I hesitate to disagree with Michael Sullivan on the number of people who would contribute funds for a Gerry Server upgrade. However, if those who wished to "pledge" funds (some people have indicated generous pledges of up to $50!) were to send an e-message to a List Member with "pledge" in the Subject header then a better guestimate of potential funds available could be generated. And if that List Member set their e-mail filter to put all Subject "pledges" in a separate inbox, then a count could readily be determined.

So, do we prove Michael right or wrong? 200 hundred pledges AVERAGING $6 US would be a heck of a start! ( And if this does seem crazy, then I fall back on the "It's Friday" weasel.)
