Subject: Ignition / Hall sender check ? on Digifant
Content-Type: text/plain

Hello,

87' Vanagon Digifant. I looking for information on the Hall sender, checking procedure which is described on page 28.43 of the Bentley manual (Bentley, Editorial closing July 15,1991) The Voltage supply check is understandable and I read a minimum of 10 Volts. The function check is where I am having some problems! 1. What kind of tester is US 1115 do I need that exact tester or can I use or buy something else to conduct this test. 2. The manual states "Connect Voltage tester US 1115 to center and outer contacts of Hall sender connector (if necessary, use jumper wire)

This is not clear to me. Am I suppose to bridge/connect the two outer wires of the Hall sender and then connect the tester to the center and one of the outer wires (that are now connected) to conduct this test?

Any Help is appreciated Thank you,

Kai
