Oh man, what a day. Went to the junkyard to look around. I spotted an old vanagon with a diesel cylinder head laying on the ground in back of it. I said no, it can't be. Gotta be a head off of a rabbit, just thrown under the van. Well, it was. A diesel vanagon, that is. The engine was gone, but the oil pan was laying inside the van. I got the transmission, starter, slave cylinder, load bars, motor mounts and three molded coolant hoses.

Total cost: $96.

That's the good part.

The bad part is I still need some stuff:

1)oil pump pickup tube 2)oil fill pipe that bolts to the oil pan 3)flywheel 4)clutch 5)pressure plate 6)aluminum arms that bolt from the engine block to the motor mounts

Anybody know where to find these parts at a reasonable price?
