I would not suggest this. When I had my Syncro at the dealer last month
they wanted to do this recall. I ask them to gauerentee everything
was covered under recall. There reply was "well we can see you need
the evaporator cover". I had repaired the corner of it. I asked "is there
anything else" and the price. The total would have been just under
$1000. I asked them for the parts, and say, if my repairs to the system
ever fail, I will install the plates myself.
I must look like a dumb rich kid.
