The Whiteshell Provincial Park is in the province of Manitoba, about 2 1/2 hours North-East of Winnipeg. It is an area of geography called the pre-cambrian shield. Lots of lakes, woods, fishing (world-class BTW) Bear and deer hunting in the fall, waterskiing etc. Many people in Winnipeg have summer-residences there (called cottages or cabins sometimes). Russians call 'em dachas, I think. Anyways, the cost of living in Manitoba is so low many people can afford second residences for vacations. In Vancouver, the cost of living is so high few people can even afford ONE residence! Marshall -----Original Message----- From: Horace K.
