Marshall- On the 1982 (and I am assuming all the rest, except for the early 1980/81's, with the tank under the seat), the answer is "no". Fill'er up. The breather for water ingress is integral with the filler neck (like a fuel tank). The water tank does have a tiny (.5 mm) breather hole in the center of the large fill cap (under the cabinet cover), for water withdrawal, but any "overflow" from this hole is contained in the depression in the cap. When arriving at a camping area to camp for a couple days with another couple, I usually fill the water tank until it overflows, simply so we don't run out of water. You can stack an extra couple gallons in the tank after the green light comes on. Happy trails, too ewe, G. If you overfill the tank using a hose, does the "overflow" drain inside or outside of the van? Ie: Do ya have to keep checking to make sure the tank doesn't overflow, as you fill it?
