Help save our marriage: my husband would love to buy a Vanagon (86-91 watercooled Westie), even though neither of us has ever driven or ridden in one. (His parents owned VW busses beginning in 1959--my parents read Consumer Reports and owned Dodge Darts.) I'm happy to give it a try, but it's obviously going to take a lot of time and effort to find a good one, and I'm not willing to make that kind of investment until I know that I would at least enjoying driving and riding in one. As you can see from my signature file, I am a certified Responsible Person. (You can even check the ASU website for my photo and vita!) Is there anyone locally who would be willing to take us for a drive for an hour, so I can see what it feels like to ride in one and what it feels like to drive one? It would be a real service to us. Thanks for your help. Rose Weitz, Professor Department of Sociology Arizona State University Box 87-2101 Tempe AZ 85287-2101 Fax: 602-965-0064 |
