Subject: What Price to Diagnose A/C leaks?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Volks:

Canadian Tire wants $50 CDN to evac my a/c, and then pressurize it with colored nitrogen, to check for leaks.

Then, parts etc and labour for the fix, unknown amount.

However, the R12 is $50 a pound! Yikes!

Is this reasonable, all in all, or should I do something else? Anybody go to Crappy Tire for A/C service?

(My problem is that the A/C doesn't chill).
