Hi all. When new tire time rolls around, we want something quieter and stronger, suitable for sustained high speed (5 cylinder engine coming soon!). We now have LT27X8 1/2-14" Dunlop Radial Rovers on stock Syncro 6" rims. Our Syncro Adventurewagen is heavy and often carries a lot, and goes off road on occasion, so I want to stay with this size, or the passenger equivalent of 225/70-14. Anything smaller is not sufficient for sand and off-road, anything larger causes clearance problems. Preferred load capacity is 1600+ lbs. I like these rims, and when going off-road the extra sidewall flex available from tall tires on 14" rims is a plus, so we don't want to go 15". But the 14" selection looks pretty limited. We are in Southern California. Any suggestions are appreciated, and thanks in advance. Zoe Ann & Roger 1987 4x5 Syncro Adventurewagen |
