I too have been working on my Dometic getting ready for a trip in July- August throught the heartland of the USA and Canada Newfoundland to Black Hills SD and back. Made the ducting and computer brushless fan conversion to quiet the old fan and improve heat exchange. Also sorted our that the AC cooling really does work, this after 8 years of using this beast. Amazing the revelations which come when following the wiring diagrams, relays etc to understand and test how things really work. In the process of getting the box out and back in somewhere there as a stress on the little bakelite knob that adjusts the thermostat for regulating the temperature and the stem has cracked off and no longer engages the shaft on the thermostat. Any suggestions for replacing this item or anyone who has a spare from a salvaged parts unit? This is what I think is a Dometic 182 in a 1982 Westfalia. It has the little meter for detecting the pilot light, in addition to the sight hole to actually see the flame.

Cheers,
