Subject: Adding gauges, part 2, this time I WILL do it!

Well, with the TDI engine as the new heart for ol' Otto, I plan to make this one last! I have some factory VDO gauges from GTIs/Jettas that I got for almost nothing, so here's the plan:

Build a nice aluminum 6-gauge console from aluminum, tig 2 attaching bolts to the underside to bolt down through the ashtray opening, cover with matching vinyl. Add these gauges, that I already have: Oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, volts. Then an EGT and a boost gauge. (Of course, also an RX-7 oil cooler!)Think that should do it, or is there something else missing? Hey, maybe I can find at 'attitude' gauge like the Tercel 4WD wagons have..............or an altimeter.............maybe an 8-gauge console, 2 levels? OK! I'll stop now. Your ideas are welcome!
