Subject: How to test fridge propane fitting?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I've pulled my fridge and fixed the fan. I cleaned out the combustion chamber, on the theory that it was a good idea even though the fridge ran OK on propane. There's more repair work to do to the van behind the fridge (both the tank-fill and city water fittings leak), but I hope to some day actually put the fridge back.

When I do, how can I test the propane fitting on the combustion chamber? I can easily enough spray some soapy water on the top (main gas inlet) fitting, but I can't see any way to get to the combustion chamber fitting (which I had to remove to clean the chamber) once the fridge is installed, and I don't know any reasonably easy way to give it a gas supply without installing it. What have others who have repaired their fridges done?

-Steven Sittser
