You could try to weld some metal on it, and grind it square again. Be sure to clean off any grease from the cable first. You may have to take the cable out of the car first. Note: this is just a theory, I have never tried this, and I do not know if it will work. You may ruin the cable, maybe you should try on a junk piece first.
