Sounds like the typical response from a mechanic that just doesn't want to do
the work, and for whatever reason, won't tell you that.


He figures he will shoot really high as he has nothing to loose.  You will
either go somewhere else, or he will make a lot of money off of you.  Either
way, he wins.
