Volks,

I'm having sooooo much fun with my headliner project that I thought I share it with ya'all. And, I thought engines and tranny's were tough, uuuuughhh.

Seriously though, has anyone done a headliner install????????

I've figured out how to get the headliner in behind the window seals without pulling the windows out, and so I've graduated to:

"Edge Reinforcement", as seen on page 70.8 of "the" gospel according to Bently.

First of all the blue tape type material that is suppose to be put in behind the "notched strip". Well I don't have any. Called my "un-friendly" local VW dealer, and he again proved his uselessness. Didn't have a clue about what I was talking about. VW should consider firing all their current employee's and hiring the list, we're the drivers their talking about, and the repairers, and the parts finders, and the so on and so forth's too. Who know's maybe they have a deal with the gov't and they are keeping the mentally deficient off the street? It could be.

So, any "real" VW technicians out there who can help me with this one?

Again, Volks, Thanks in advance, Ron Semko Orlando, Fl. 1984 Vanagon with 200,000 plus miles
