Believe it or not, newer is not always better. I use a text only program to handle email. It's the same program I use to write and compile programs, papers, letters, read Unix map pages, list file directories, and just about anything else I do with text. It is far more flexible and functional than anything through a browser and runs many times faster over the phone line.

Perhaps the better answer for this list is, why not go out and buy an up to date van, something that goes fast, gets great gas mileage, does't sway in the wind, is quiet, and has great air conditioning and sound system? Then we wouldn't even need this list.

But, I think I'd read this list even if I didn't own my fabulous '87 Westy (red) (-:
