Mark,

The power converter would give you the most versatility with only a minor increase in power consumption ....However, TVs can draw alot of power on start-up. You need to carefully research the wattage used by the TV and purchase a converter which will cover that wattage and perhaps 20 percent more. You will then be able to power the TV or any other A/C appliance of the same wattage or less.
