I would just like to thank everybody for all of the great info regarding Stell, my 86 Vanagon. Here's an update. She's in south Jersey at a shop owned by a co-worker of mine, her husband's shop. Ed, the guy working on her is a Bug head, has had a few Bugs and a bus here and there. He was able to get her out of 3rd gear, and was working on opening her up when I called today. Being that it is a holiday this weekend, I'll hear more on Tuesday. I had passed along several e-mails from yu'll, Ed read the suggestions, and was even checking out some web sites. He also suspects a cracked hub, but we'll know more on Tuesday. Ed, promised to reassure Stella, and encourage her to hang in there.

I can't say thank you enough! And thanks for pointing out I misspelled Houston, I didn't spell check, and it was a bad day!!! Sorry!

Peace, Love, and Granola

Happy motoring and be safe this weekend!

Kat
