Hi Bud, Amen. There is even lubricant that is compatible with both r12 and r134. Local napa store has compressor seal kits and O rings. Sams discount has r134a 30 lbs for $60 if you have a fleet of vans. The van ac system needs a little more than 3 lbs. There are now ac shops that will pump out the r12 for free. If you give the condenser and evaporator a good cleaning r134a will do a good job for you. My evaporator discharge air temperature reads 40- 45 F same as with r12. Darrell
