Subject: under ford aerostar 4wd - funny
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I had to change a starter on a '94 aerostar for my aunt the other day. Really funny how the ford is built. I know it is not designed for off road use like the Syncro, but I couldn't help make fun. To remove the starter, I had to remove the front driveshaft. The manufacturer stamp on the wimpy flange on the end of the wimpy shaft was Briggs and Stratton. . . I kept remarking how there were no lawn mower parts on MY van ;~)

After working on the Syncro though, the ford was relatively easy. Still, makes me appreciate how tough my van was built. It's insulting when people put them in the same class. I hate it when people shrug the Syncro off as a puddle jumper "All Wheel Drive" Makes me want to show them the difference from under the van. Better still, makes me want to give them a ride off road to show them the difference. Made lots of belivers that way. . .
