Subject: Grinding 2nd
Content-Type: text/plain

My Syncro, into second is getting worse! The trans has 142,000 on it! If the rpms are a little to high or you are above 15mph before shift it grinds going in. Even if you rush a little bit! You have to wait with the clutch depressed for it to go into second! All other gears are OK though. The trans fluid was very dirty when changed and the mechanic said it was GL-5 !!!!! I changed to Dino GL-4 and it seems to have gotten a little WORSE. I don't want to drop this thing, any help? It also has some hair line cracks in the housing. Maybe from my bad drive shaft vibration :(
