I guess the person who converted the van from diesel to wbx in the first place, was probably an air cooled nut, who never have looked under the hood of a Rabbit, and knew the similarity of the diesel and gas I-4s. I mean, there must be a reason for stuffing the wbx into the van instead of going the easy way.
