My speedometer cable end has been repaired ! Welding ! Yes, welding ! I took my mig welder and with the wire extended just touched the surfaces of the rounded off cable end until it was quite enlarged all around. I then took a Dremel tool with a small cutting disc and ground the sides square again. I repeated this scenario until I got the end back to it's origional size. It was rather easy. Got to have a real steady hand and just touch the mig wire to the cable end. A small pair of vice grips held the cable end just in back of the squared end and the ground of the mig welder was attached to the vice grips. You can then rotate the cable end while striking it with the mig wire to build it up. It doesn't take much ! Anyways, thanks to all of you who tried to help with your suggestions. Cheers Frank
