I live near Seattle and have had 2 van engines "rebuilt"... price over the years has been the same though labor goes up, I guess parts go down. $2200 for both new heads and gaskets... not for anything else (no piston replacement, bearings etc.) So here they don't use the term "rebuild"... we say having the head gaskets replaced!! However... at the time we could buy a "rebuilt" engine for the same money, and pay labor to install it.
