Jun 5, 1999 Shawn, As I recall that can bae defeated. I defeated it on an '87 - Id on't know if it applies here. As the radio fits into it'smount it interfaces witha switch on the side of the radio with a switch on the mount sleeve. If you wre going to steal this radio when you remove it from the sleeve it actuates the sleeve switch on the radio. Now as I recall I either permanently forced the switch in or disconnected it. Either way it defeated the lockout. Hope this helps.
