With the a/c on my 86 Syncro, it is the rear mounted blower fan for the a/c that is really noisy, especially on speeds 3 and 4. At highway speeds, a/c fan speeds 1 and 2 are not very noticeable at all. If the radiator cooling fan ever goes to high speed, which it does on occasion with the a/c on, some may think that they have just arrived at the jet engine testing area. Of course, we must agree that our vans are not known for their quietness. The engine, tires, and wind noise all intrude upon the pristine silence that seems to be a big selling point for some other vehicles. Overall, I am quite willing to trade a cool ride for a few more decibles. Budd Premack 86 Syncro, 84 GL(for sale soon), 73 Super Minneapolis, MN (Land of Sky Blue Waters) |
