I also put a AC/DC 9" TV in our 87 Westy in preparation for our trip to
Orlando FL next week... I Used the mounting plate and leg for the front table
(which we never use) to mount the TV. I securely attached a plate of 3/4"
pine (painted black) to the TV/VCR and then just screwed the metal mounting
plate for the front table to the wooden bottom. This method allows the
TV/VCR to be swiveled back by the stove/sink so backseat passengers can enjoy
an "in flight" movie with head phones. It also can be swiveled between the
front seats to provide more floor space and top bunk viewing while camped. I
removed the shelf from the cabinet under the sink and the whole unit fits
nicely to keep it out of eye sight when parked. I also ran a twelve volt
outlet back to the under sink cabinet instead of the annoying cord up to the
cig lighter scenario.
