Does anybody have experience with pulling a vanagon (84 weekender) with a ford F100 (or F150)? When I get to Idaho, I will put a gun rack and some empty beer cans in the bed, you know, just to fit in. Sort of off-set the looks I'll get from being a long haired bus driving hippy grad student! >>

it will be pushing it for the straight 6, but i think if the engine was just rebuilt, and you take it easy (not too many hills) it will be ok.. you'd be better off with the 302 V8 tho... is it an AT or 4spd? or *gasp* a "3 on the tree"? ( those are really fun.. :<(

chris someday to inherit my dad's '63 Falcon Sprint Convertible...260 V8 w/ 3spd on the column... he bought the car new!
