On my other car there is a fairly large leak in one of the hoses. I checked out the prices for new hoses with the fittings attatched (the only way they are sold for this car) and was quoted a price that would make the folks in hell hesitate. I got to thinking about repairing these hoses myself. They are attatched to the fittings with a permenant crimp that would have to be hacksawed off but after that I think the new hoses could be attatched with hose clamps and maby some kind of adhesive to ensure against leakage. I dont know if there are any barbs or the like on the fittings as I have not taken them off yet. Anyone ever try this?
