I had my 84 vanagon pulled from Tenn to NC by a small 4cyl truck on a uhaul car dolly. It was slow ~45mph max, but it worked. Uhaul wouldn't rent a dolly to me after finding out what I was pulling with the small truck. I ending up just saying that I was pulling a VW and they let me go with it. It seems that uhaul had all the info about towing like what is needed to tow what. You may want to check with them. I think you can find out over the phone if an F150 would do the trick or not. Hope that helps. bjay
