RE: 86 digifant running richHi Coby, I to wish for a CO exhaust tester but cannot justify the cost of one. I have found that if you adjust the afm (air flow meter) main spring tension so the disconnected O2 sensor reads 0.55 - 0.60 volts with the engine running at 3k rpm then adjust the idle bypass screw for the same voltage at idle all seems to work well and functions good. The Bosch L-Jetronic system with or without O2 work well with the above procedure also. Of course on L-Jetronic without you must install an O2 to get your readings. A heated O2 will work well even in the tail pipe. Darrell Note. Always mark the gear on the afm main spring so you can return to the original tension if needed.

Glad if I can provide anything of use -- You wrote: "I always would like to know how to check and set my CO without having the $20K instrument."
