Subject: coolant pressure gauge
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi Volks, I have found and installed a new coolant pressure gauge on by wasser boxer. Some on the list have been looking for more gauges and I feel this may be more important than any other to add to our dash or gauge panels. I have had hoses, heaters, radiators give way at times. With a coolant pressure gauge one will know quickly when / if there is a problem. It is a Teleflex (teleflex.com) from overton's (overtons.com) . It is standard 2 inch size, white on black, looks good. It is a 0-30 psi mechanical style and came with all the necessary plumbing including a 20 foot hose. My 87 van runs 5 -10 psi of coolant pressure (varies with load) while driving and after shutdown rises to near 15 psi for about 10 minutes then drops off gradually to 0 in about 45 minutes. It is sold by overton's as an accessory gauge for boat engine coolant pressure measurement. Thought I would pass this along incase someone else is looking for a new toy to check out. Shipping and all was just under $50. Darrell
