Sorry to cloud up this clarification of the confusion...VW naming conventions seem like english grammar, there's an exception to every rule.

in the case of the 1999 Eurovan, VW is calling the Multivan a Eurovan with 2 rear facing jump seats, fold out side table and full width full length rear sofabed. It does not matter if there is a popup or not, it is still a multivan. When the popup bed is present and there is no camping equipment it is called a Weekender Multivan. You lose the second airconditioner and the overhead ventwork with the Weekender.

Chris' posting may apply to Eurovans up through 1993. There were no non-campers released in the US between 1994 and 1998, hence no multivans or weekenders during those years.
