From my collection of European T3 & T4 brochures, the Multivan is the 7 passenger version with a back seat that folds into a bed, has a table and a flourescent light, as well as two rear-facing passenger seats. They also came with a set of snap-on curtains.

As I recall, and paraphrase one of the brochures, the Multivan is able to be used as a passenger van, a camper and by simple removal of the seats in the rear compartment, a cargo van.

The Multivans which had the pop top, at least in the T4 variety, were referred to as the Multivan Weekender.
