David,

I just bought an '86 Syncro with 110,000 on it in good condition for $4,000 in Portland Oregon a couple of months ago.

I think you should look around some more.

I'm looking at trading out my '75 westy for a nice shiny new vanagon..

I managed to find this '87 GL westy syncro with 87,000 on it with a rebuilt tranny.

the van appears in great condition, but the seller (a dealer with a good rep) wants almost 20k for it (including a warranty)... am I mad to even consider this price ?

I honestly haven't seen enough Syncros up for sale to have a good guage of their market price..

what are they worth?

Thanks. Dave. '75 westy
