Subject:      Fix for "locked" factory radio

I saw a recent post about a factory code for the stock radio. The cassette
radio from my '88 GL Westy (VW logo on front, but made by MEI) was
accidentally locked out by entering the wrong code too many times. I have the
correct code, but my wife read it out wrong as I was trying to punch it in while
driving.

I have tried everything to reset this thing. Is there any hope?
