when i was in SoCal last summer (spent 2 wks in Huntington Beach area) i can attest to this. there are VW's EVERYWHERE. new ones, old ones, you name it. i even saw a '56 Kombi as a daily driver in Laguna Beach. but, i will never understand why they cost so much more out there!!!!! when there are an abundance of them!!!??? Out here on the east coast where old vw's are rare, and so are vw vans, of all ages, one can often buy a mid-late '80's westy syncro for less than half of what they fetch on the west coast, and they dont sell as quick either....

cant really use the old "supply and demand" thing here i guess...
