Hello all,
Sherrrie and I took Vinnie for a short trip yesterday to visit a large
"General Store" she had been wanting to visit. Total mileage round trip was
only about 100 miles.
As we wound around the beautiful eastern Pennsylvania country side, we
really soaked in the land we will be soon be leaving behind.  Vinnie ran
beautifully and pulled hills well and cruised like a dream. Ended up eating
dinner at JT's in Jim Thorpe, a little place we highly reccomend. They have
an out-of-this-world cup of cream o broccoli soup! As we were getting
situated to leave, a couple of young guys approached us and asked if we
would consider selling. I promptly responded, " How much do you have?"
"Well, that depends on whether you would want to sell," he said. So we went
around like that a few more times and finally I just said that I would
probably not sell Vinnie (although God knows I have thought about it many
times!). He kept telling me that this is one of the nicest he'd seen in a
while. That makes you feel good, when someone appreciates your hard work. I
also told him about the vanagon.com site to learn about Vanagon before he
just went willy-nilly buying one.
Overall a great day with the person and thing that I most like to spend
time with!
