I've looked at this for mine, but concluded it would mess up the use of the bed; how did you get around this?

We finished a day-long project yesterday. Installed three headrests on the rear bench seat back. Got a dog chewed seat from a Vanagon at Campbel Nelson with 3-matching OE headrests complete with extra middle seat belt for $99. Bought hardware for about $8. Tore the seat apart (anybody want parts for a wider Z bed (non Westie)? Took out the headrest parts.... took apart the rear seat back in the Westie (complicated construction) and installed the parts using modified hardware. Installed the extra seatbelt, then reinstalled the seatback. Total project time was aboutd10 hours. Looks spif and seems to be quite functional. Ah... we know that seatback well!! The nice thing about headrests being there is they will now hold the pile of gear from creeping forward... which of course means we can take even more gear!!!..... right??
