My actual overdrive is .70. I think that the .77 would be a better ratio, dropping the rpms @600 less than stock gearing if you are keeping the stock five speed gearing(This gives you a little more power at 55, since the engine revs more ). If you change the stock five to the stock four gear ratios, then have the .70 as a highway cruise gear for above 60mph.

It keeps the engine in the power band of the engine '3000 to 5600 rpms' MPG is 22 to 26mpg. I still have a few adjustments til the final amount but it should increase when it is all dialed in. I am adding an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I plan to increase fuel pressure one or two psi similar to increasing the jet size on a carb, plus the regulator will better react to pressure changes than stock.
