Hello Folks,

I will be selling my gas Vanagon soon in favor of my Diesel Vanagon. I will be giving up the following

1) Automatic tranny.. No a real big deal except around town but most of my running is trips so I think I am ok here

2)Power steering.. Yeah I am gonna miss this

3) AC My gas Vanagon is converted over to the new refrigerant and I will definately miss this hence my question

Anybody out there ever use or install a RV type AC unit? Is there any other options besides 120 volt units? I though I saw 1 that ran on 24 volts at around 50 amps or so? How big of a unit did you put into your Vanagon.

It was 98 degrees here today sure was glad to have the AC

can anyone help

Thank you
