I know that Honda (and others) had a safety recall of Takata seatbelts where
the dealerships had to replace them.  I don't know if they would warrant
them or not, although it seems like a good idea, considering the liability
issues and how flimsy the seatbelt latches seem to be.  Yeah, I replaced
some seatbelts in my 90 Carat.  Both of the rear-facing belts were $94 each
for the latch part and about $70 for the belt / reel part.  The latch part
of the regular bench seats are only about $30 from the dealership.  I don't
know how the previous owners broke all of these seatbelts because it didn't
look like they ever used them.  I grumbled about the cost, but my children
are worth it -- and they were easy to change.
